How does Track2Ride work?

Track2Ride is a community-built directory of tracks and riding spots across Europe: motocross, enduro, trial, supermoto, kart, flat track, MTB and car. You can browse spots as a list or on an interactive map, filter by discipline or region, and open each track for the details — address, contact, photos and opening hours.

Is the app free?

Yes, Track2Ride is completely free. It is funded by unobtrusive advertising (AdMob) and has no mandatory subscription.

Can I use it without an account?

Yes. Browsing tracks, searching and the map all work without an account. You only need one to submit a track, save favourites or send feedback.

How do I submit a track?

Create an account (free, 30 seconds), then tap “Submit a track” from the list or the map. Fill in the form — name, disciplines allowed, address, description, contact, photos — and send it. A step-by-step guide is available on the submission help page.

How long does approval take?

Every submission is reviewed by hand, usually within 24 to 72 hours. You get an email and a push notification as soon as your track is approved, or declined with a reason.

Why was my track declined?

The usual reasons are: a duplicate of an existing track, an address that is imprecise or cannot be found, private land without the owner's permission, irrelevant photos, or information that is plainly wrong. You are told the exact reason by email, and you can submit again once it is fixed.

How do I become the owner of a track?

Two ways. (1) You submitted the track yourself: once the team approves it you automatically become its owner and it appears under Profile → My tracks. (2) The track is already on Track2Ride and it is yours — you run it or manage it: use “Claim this track” from its public page. An administrator reviews your request, may ask for proof, and then makes you the owner.

How do I claim a track that is already published?

Open the track's page (web or mobile) and tap “Claim this track” — it only shows if the track has no owner yet. Describe in a few lines how you are connected to it: manager, owner, or the club that runs it. An admin reviews the request within 24-72 hours and tells you the outcome by email and push.

How do I edit my track's details?

From Profile → My tracks, open the track and tap “Edit”. You can update everything yourself: name, description, disciplines allowed, contact, opening hours and prices. The GPS position is editable too — drag the pin on the small map, and the new position is saved with the rest.

Can I add or remove photos?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from the “Edit” screen of your track (web or mobile), in the Photos section. You can add up to 5 photos per track, reorder them by dragging, choose the cover photo, edit captions and delete a photo. Photos are compressed and their EXIF metadata — including GPS coordinates — is stripped before publication, to protect your privacy.

Are my changes published straight away?

Yes. Changes made by a verified owner go live immediately, with no second review. Every change is recorded server-side, though — who changed what, and when. In case of abuse, the team can revoke your owner status.

Where do I find the list of my tracks?

On the web: from /profile, click “My tracks” (or go straight to /profile/mes-terrains). In the app: Profile tab → “My tracks”. You'll see every track you are the verified owner of, with a direct link to its public page and to the Edit button.

How do I create an account?

From the app or the site, tap “Sign in” then “Create an account”. You can use your email address or a Google/Apple account. No personal information beyond your email is required.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Danger zone → Delete my account. Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period, during which you can still cancel. Your submissions are then anonymised — the track stays listed, but with no link to your account.

How do I sign in? I don't have a password

There is no password: signing in is passwordless. Enter your email on the sign-in screen, you'll get a 6-digit code by email, type it in, and that's it. You can also sign in with Google. If the code doesn't arrive, check your spam folder or wait a minute before asking for a new one.

How is my data used?

Track2Ride collects only what it strictly needs: your email address for the account, the tracks you submit, and your favourites. No data is ever sold. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Does Track2Ride use cookies?

The website uses technical cookies only — session and preferences. No third-party advertising tracker is set without your explicit consent. The mobile app uses AdMob, with explicit GDPR consent on first launch.

Does the app work offline?

Yes, Track2Ride runs on Android (8.0+) and iOS (14+). Free to download from the Play Store and the App Store.
